From the 1975 live comedy & folk album The Newcastle Song, which illuminates - and satirises - 1970's Australian culture.

Don't ask me to upload the rest of the album - you can now buy the album on CD, so support the artist!

  • This song gives me goosebumps! I was a 19yr old Sydney chick back then & could sympathise with those sheilas less fortunate. Used to see Margaret Roadknight perform this often @ the Limmerick Castle in Surry Hills, as it was walking distance from my house.

Those were the days my friend...

  • @toodgs embarrassing isnt it. Born in nicknock myself, moved to Sydney, Melbourne. Sadly now back in hunter valley but NOT nicknock.

  • Born i Cessnock , god I hated the Hunter Valley for all the reasons Bob Hudson sings about and Newcastle was and still is the end of the earth

  • I used to have this album. Can you upload "librarian Lady"? it isn't on here anywhere.
