you think that's bad, imagine hell

Wasn't turned up to 11 though was it !!!

@kharndog I'd love to watch you tolerate this for a solid minute. You obviously don't know anything about the technology involved in ADS.
-
They're probably going to use this kind of technology for integrating people, seeing as it (allegedly) doesn't leave any lasting tissue damage, and yet is still very painful...

Its possible to do this with an ordinary microwave oven if you know what you are doing. It was demonstrated on TV here in England, in a quarry against a bunch of balloons. The casing was removed and the microwave emitter was tinkered with. It was only plugged into AC 240 volt mains. I think the program was How Do They Do That. Aired around summer 2009

i dont see y we didnt use this in war ITS AWESOME

@kharndog superhuman no trained yes.
I know when I "KNOW" pain is coming I can tolerate it. I can suppress my normal "reaction" and "deal with it" when you touch an iron or hot oil its "unexpected" you just reaction.
When you know the pain is coming you can suppress this reaction. Logically soldiers would be more capable of this. (assuming the pain is truly minor such as this pain ray IE you know it won't kill you)

@nerys71 wtf, you're speaking as if soldiers are some kind of superhuman. From when I was a civilian to now as a soldier I have undergone no physiological transformation. If you get hit on the knee you kick with your leg, if you burn your hand on hot oil in a frying pan you go ouch and recoil. Its an inbuilt mechanism of our bodies.

I appreciate your argument, but I think that it's a pretty massive assumption to suggest that this sort of thing wouldn't also be used on peaceful protests. Police forces round the world have a nasty habit of of attacking peaceful protests and then saying that there was a riot or the possibility of a riot afterwards. This is exactly what happened to three friends of mine at a pre-arranged, non-disruptive and utterly peaceful protest at Liverpool Street on Wednesday.
