This is a tribute to one of the longest lasting marriages in Hollywood. Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman met in 1952 and married on January 29th 1958. Today, they remain as in love with each other as they were fifty years ago. @Pearlyriver I so agree with you but Paul & Joanne didn't always have it easy they lost their first child just weeks after they were married when she unexpectedly miscarried and it had to hurt Paul so deeply to watch his beloved Joey having her hopes and dreams ripped away from her and knowing there was nothing he could do to comfort her no words can ease the pain left in a mothers heart when her precious child dies within her

This video is such an EPIC LOVE STORY and reminds me that powerful love stories don't have to have pain or angst (like one of my other favorite couples: Liz Taylor and Richard Burton). This love is so much sweeter and HAPPIER!!!

@Jessica24700 I believe the movie at 0:19 is WUSA and the one at 0:54 is Rally Around The Flag Boys during most of which she was pregnant with Nell and wasn't expecting to be because she'd just miscarried their first child a few months before

@LonesomeSwan I totally agree with you Joanne was and is gorgeous but her looks get downplayed because Paul was so noted for his looks. I hate that cancer snatched him from her when even a miscarriage just weeks after they were married couldn't
