a Journey to the Stars from Corfu - Timelapse
Continuing from our last video production Corfu - "A Magical Place" produced by J.D.Strikis, this is our brand new production directed and produced by my V.Metallinos for the members of the Astronomic Society of Corfu and certainly for all you watching it, hope you enjoy it Most of the frames were shot with Canon eos 40D and ef 15mm fisheye but we also used 4 other DSLR cameras
1x 5D mkii
1X 30D
1X 400D
1X 350D
with lens from 12mm to 400mm, also some of shots are from ED80 telescope with 600mm.
There are more than 25.000 pictures in this video, some of which were taken from 14 to 21 August 2011 with fellow photographer...all other shots were taken by the Observation Team of the Astronomical Society of Corfu -which I happen to lead- some in 2008 and 2009 and many of them in 2010 and 2011, on the wonderful Grreek island of Corfu. This video and the pictures are the expressions of our love and passion for the night sky and I hope we wiil be able to produce more of them in the future. I would like to thank all the members of the Observation Team as well as the friends that helped me put together this material, Spyros Chondrogiannis, Amalia Poulimenou, Spyros Bouzis, Thanasis Papadimitriou, Marianna Tzevelika, Michael Papadatos, Natasa Naoumi, Iakovos Strikis, Orsoula Avgouli. I would also like to thank the Astronomical Society of Corfu for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to do all this.
Last but not least, I would like to thank my girlfriend Natasha for not breaking up with me after all these years.
