CCLR - The Sutton Gala - Part 2
Over the weekend of 6/7th October 2007 the whole of the former Sutton Miniature Railway and some of the original footplate staff were busy at Cleethorpes.
Driver of Sutton Belle was John Tidmarsh and Sutton Flyer was driven by his pal - from school days - Michael Phillips . "We've been driving the Sutton engines together since we were 13 years old - in 1949"! said John.
The class '10' Bassett-Lowke Prince of Wales was Red Dragon in disguise. It's a long story.

Seen in use on the line were:-

4-4-2 Sutton Flyer
4-4-2 Sutton Belle
4-4-2 Prince of Wales
and diesel 'railcar' No 4

We arrived as usual in time to see the loco preparation and departure for the station. The three Sutton engines proceeded to take out trains to Kingsway, returning to platform 3 on the extension branch and heading out to the new terminus. A lovely day for October
