  • I think Annie Proulx is a treasure, in this time when so much writing tends to be bloated and self-obsessed, she is a breath of fresh air. (Very fresh Wyoming mountain air.) Her stark settings and characters are such that you find yourself thinking about them long after you have closed the book. Truly amazing. Thank you Annie Proulx. All the best.
