  • What im wondering is how much times you can use these mods before they start to break and not work?

  • @bagofbones11 A platinum silicone will not break down, but it will eventually loose its release properties and become "leathery" on the surface after repeated casting. Depending on the cross section of the part, the frequency of casting, and the type of resin used, the mold may last anywhere from 50 to 150+ castings. We have molds here in our shop that we have cast parts in them for years. Rapid, production casting w/o release is the fastest way to kill a mold.

  • is it me but @2.41 the cog parts have air bubbles..?

  • @foxone1974 There was some grease on the original that transfered to the mold.
