My Dental Hygienist, Elina Solomon RDH is a highly qualified and experienced hygienist. She performs gentle yet thorough dental scaling, cleaning and polishing of your teeth using the latest technology in periodontal diagnosis and treatment. She has been with the practice, for several years and works hard to teach and motivate our patients in proper oral hygiene and preventative care. In my practice, I feel it is most important to prevent dental disease and to diagnose problems when they are early and most easily treated. Simon W. Rosenberg, DMD can rebuild a tooth or your entire smile using a CAD/CAM CEREC system with porcelain that looks natural. Restorations can usually be done with NO SHOT, NO PAIN, NO KIDDING using the Biolase Waterlase MD Dental Laser. (No Shot, No Pain, No Kidding is a trademark of Biolase). Dr Rosenberg specializes in Prosthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. With over 30 years experience, he uses High Technology in Dentistry to improve smiles one patient at a time with personalized, gentle dental care. Using CEREC one-visit veneers, crowns or onlays your teeth can be restored with precision and the most tooth like appearance and material properties. Ultimate smile makeovers are done with CEREC, daVinci or Lumineer Veneers / Laminates. Invisalign (nearly invisible aligners without braces or wires) can straighten and align teeth. One hour Zoom! or Custom Deep Bleaching systems can whiten teeth up to 10 shades lighter. (This claim is based on research done by Discus Dental (the owner of Zoom! -- Individual results will vary.) • A cleaning only hurts if your oral hygiene home care sucks. People that wince from a cleaning are wimps.

  • Luxtar, There can be many reasons why a dental cleaning might hurt. If there is recession of the gums and the sensitive roots are exposed, the pain can be unbearable. Deep cavities can hurt while the teeth are being cleaned. If anyone has pain during a cleaning they should stop the hygienist or dentist and discuss the pain and discomfort and a solution is almost always a simple matter and nearly 100% effective.

  • i went to the dentist today and was told I'm going to need a cleaning. The doctor told me that depending on my pain threshold the cavitron isn't that painful. I wonder if this is true. I remember as a kid screaming from the pain of a tooth cleaning. Hopefully the device used back then wasn't the cavitron.

  • There are a number of techniques and both hand instruments, sonic scalers, ultrasonic scalers, prophy jets and other air-water-bicarbonate slurry cleaning instruments, as well as the traditional rubber prophy cut with pumice or other cleaning agents. Things are a lot different that years ago. Let us all know how the cleaning went.

  • I can tell you that she is not reading from Cue cards, but speaking from the heart unrehearsed. English is her second-language and I hope you will understand her spontaneous comments that she shared with potential patients who are looking to choose a new dentist.
