With the Titus Young Era Officially Over, Looking Ahead to Detroit Lions Free Agency

The Detroit Lions have parted ways with 2011 draft bust, Titus Young, after two short and underwhelming years. Jerry Mallory of Pride of Detroit shares his frustration over the many wasted dollars invested, not to mention the superior talent still on the board when Young was selected. After the rant, Jerry turns his attention to upcoming free agency and what the Lions can do to get back on track in 2013 and beyond.

The Lions have plenty of other players they should be dropping to become real players in free agency, but what would be smarter is to trade a bunch of the guys that should be dropped for draft picks and build these young players. AND PLEASE PLEASE TRADE HILL he is making way to much for a 2nd string QB who freaking even Drew Stanton had more wins as a back up. NEW YORK LIONS.

You release this moron "titus young sr" he get's grabbed up by the rams immediately - that could have been a 6th-7th round draft pick. Two you release the only real leader on defense KVB okay I understand he is getting up there in age, injury prone and we need cap-space, but why not put a offer on the table for him to be your D-Line coach, he can mold the young players and still be the respected .core-leader

You got that right, I've said the same thing on Mlive that the next time I hear about Titus Young, is that I hope whenever I pull up to the Drive-Thru at Burger King, serving me a Whopper with a large order of fries and a large Coke. They didn't had to try to get nothin for him. They did the right thing by releasing him. What a piece of shit he was. I told the Rams fans on ESPN.com is that good luck with him and sorry that they're gonna have to deal with that piece of shit. Good Riddance!!!
