Video taken on July 19, 2008 of former estate of Edward J. Cornish, a president of the National Lead Company. Used this Cold Spring, NY mansion as his country home from 1917 until his death in 1938. Fires and seven decades of neglect have left only the rusticated masonry facades of the house and barns behind. (http://www.hudsonvalleyruins.org/rinaldi/PAGES/cornish.htm) There is a mile long cement driveway with huge boulder breakwall winding up the mountain. There are many buildings in addition to the old mansion. Does anybody know of any photos of this property in its prime?
Have't been up there in a while. I thought the ruins would be gone by now.
