This surgical video shows AlloDerm grafting technique for treatment of an implant replacing a maxillary central incisor. The implant had significant exposure, absence of facial bone and attached gingiva, and was complicated by a broad frenulum. The site presented both an esthetic and a functional problem and exhibited chronic infection. The treatment objective was to establish a zone of stable marginal tissue while covering the implant exposure. Order the DVD from www.dredwardpallen.com.
How is this patient doing now, over a year later, please? I'm surprised if this implant could be saved. That was a lot of titanium depth showing no surrounding bone, including some screw threads.
Any chance the bone will grow back down around the implant, now that the area has been cleaned and is being protected with the gum graft? Has the bone grown back any?
