A test of my new Samson C01U microphone recording my keyboard more than anything else. My piano skills have been off ever since I had surgery on a compromised nerve in my left arm several years ago (successful- most function was preserved), accentuated by my being WAY out of practice.

Keyboard is a Roland EM-10, and it doesn't have enough keys. I don't have any pedals for it, and it's been broken more than once.

  • Kewl! Thanks!

  • You wouldn't really need to mess with midi at all in this scenario. Stereo cable from the headphone jack to the line-in/mic jack on your comp... it'll record audio (using a free recording program like Audacity). Midi isn't audio, it's just data. Anyway, let me stop clogging up your comments with technical nonsense, continue with your wonderful playing!

  • Well, the keyboard has a Midi interface that I'd use... if my computer had a MIDI input... but it doesn't. If I could, I would. I'd never thought of using the headphone jack as a line out to my computer, though. Not sure if that would work, but I might try it sometime.

  • Very nice playing, but why record with a mic when you can just connect your keyboard's line out or headphone jack to your computer? Much cleaner sound recording the audio that way.

  • gotcha ;)

If i get bored later ill live feed a progress of my practice.. haha

  • I love 6 string. Can't play it, but love the sound!

    Cheers!
