My Piano Skills... ! (mic test)

A test of my new Samson C01U microphone recording my keyboard more than anything else. My piano skills have been off ever since I had surgery on a compromised nerve in my left arm several years ago (successful- most function was preserved), accentuated by my being WAY out of practice.

Keyboard is a Roland EM-10, and it doesn't have enough keys. I don't have any pedals for it, and it's been broken more than once.

You wouldn't really need to mess with midi at all in this scenario. Stereo cable from the headphone jack to the line-in/mic jack on your comp... it'll record audio (using a free recording program like Audacity). Midi isn't audio, it's just data. Anyway, let me stop clogging up your comments with technical nonsense, continue with your wonderful playing!

Well, the keyboard has a Midi interface that I'd use... if my computer had a MIDI input... but it doesn't. If I could, I would. I'd never thought of using the headphone jack as a line out to my computer, though. Not sure if that would work, but I might try it sometime.

Very nice playing, but why record with a mic when you can just connect your keyboard's line out or headphone jack to your computer? Much cleaner sound recording the audio that way.
