BreathSim depiction of exhausted CO2 absorbent in the anesthesia machine.
Simulation shows capnogram and gas flow in the anesthesia breathing circuit as inspiratory CO2 rises, and the mechanism by which increasing fresh gas flow reduces CO2 rebreathing in a classic non-volume compensated anesthesia machine (e.g. Ohmeda Modulus).
The relationship between fresh gas flow and delivered tidal volume is also explained.
