I always wanted to run a legal mile and this was the event to do it at. Shannon puts on the Texas mile (TEXASMILE.COM) twice a year. It is a phenominal event.

wut song did u use Alex? also, my buddy Ron's Z06 is having an engine swap. He's puttin a 500 cubic inch motor in (8.3L V8) I think. He's lookin for somewhere between 1000 and 1500 rwhp. He's tryin to decide whether supercharge with the 1000 or do a TT for 1500 he's goin next march so if u go, I'll let him know.

@sno9r No idea, it does a quarter mile at about 150mph which is documented alot, so I am sure its over 200mph at a mile. However I did hear that the American SSC beat the Bugatti 1 mile time. may want to check that out and compare? as right now its really the only other car going over 250mph 'documented"

He is. MTI racing just released a 500 cubic inch (8.3L) V8 chevy motor. He is planning to swap it in and then TT it for roughly 1500 to the wheels and still be SL.

this is a bit late but i think i agree on going the TT route. with all that power on a supercharger, the fact that you have instant boost is going to make traction even more difficult. at least with turbos, you have to spool up to full power and the motor naturally eases itself into it.

But a 220 mph Supra can be built for under $50-60. A 260 mph, 1000 hp Viper would easily be $100,000+
