Just me on a walk around various places of interest at Belle Isle which is a small island park not too far from my house. There's some bits where the wind is blowing and you can't hear what I'm saying. Sorry about that. Recorded Tuesday Nov. 8, 2011.

  • Nice to see all of the scenery. You're brave, I could not do not do a vlog outside. Maybe I could in the future. I remember a time I had to do a vlog for a project in class and in the background there were two people giving me bad looks. Thinking about it now, their reactions were pretty funny. I used to wonder around newly built houses in my niehborhood when it was new. Of course it was not safe but it was still fun.

  • @IcyBlue487 Yeah, it was very hard doing this at first, but it gets better. I always have to sort of psych myself up for outside vlogs and usually end up doing multiple takes before I feel somewhat comfortable. It certainly helped that there were pretty much no people around when I did this. And yeah, I love exploring places, especially old abandoned areas. I get that same sense of wonder I feel when wandering around in a video game, only better because it's real.

  • (continued)

The fountain does work. They had it on a couple months ago. It's funny because when it's on the turtles look like they're puking haha. I thought it was hilarious. Too bad I didn't have my video camera on me that day.

  • @StealthyBob I knew it probably gets turned on during the warmer months. Yeah, I bet it does look like the turtles are puking, lol. And I was out there on Tuesday morning at around 11am so I'm sure that's why there wasn't anyone around. I know it gets packed on weekends especially. Man, I had managed to find a cool wooded area with a nature trail going through as well as the zoo which is now abandoned. Too bad I had run out of memory and battery since that was the most exciting part of the walk.

  • Lol I don't think I want to eat fish out of this river...I like that :). Looking forward to the city video ;). Nice to see you exploring more of Detroit, I am sure you will get a passport sooner rather than later haha. And omg the geese! I know them from England they were always at the lake where I used to walk the dogs, cheeky things!

  • @cherryredcutie Yeah, I should have my passport by the time I decide to start venturing into Canada. Oh and the geese don't seem to be very afraid of you like most birds and other small animals are. They let you get awfully close, haha. The mothers will hiss at you if you get close to their chicks too.

  • you could film some creepy stuff at that place at around the 15 min mark, its like some resident evil outpost, hold off from the zombies shambling around

  • This place reminds me of Azeema, the area is beautiful yet eary, -_- really sick area though

  • Thanks for the vid CC, the scenary there is cool. That sounds like fun walking through those abandoned buildings

  • @ConsciousCloud I don't think I've seen that part of the island. That would have been cool.
