Checking out the crown of a recent natural avalanche in Apollo Creek near Baker Lake. It occurred on a NE aspect at 9500'. This had released as recently as this morning, along with 6 or 7 other avalanches in the same basin. Strong winds overnight or warming temperatures today may have been the cause. The slab was 18-36" deep, and it ran on sugary faceted snow that was buried December 12th.
