Hi there,
I don't believe the skirts are made of silk. I believe it's cotton, but then again I could be wrong.

This is beautiful! It's a shame that as a native Ecuadorian I never really was exposed to our traditional dances (the music, yes, but never the dances). I aim to fix that now. Thank you so much for posting these lovely videos!

Hey Juan,
Thanks for the feedback. Ironically enough I was the exact same way. I was exposed to all the music, but I never appreciated any of it till I became an adult and realized the beauty in our culture.
It is quite amazing seeing it displayed in such a manner, but it brings back memories of my grandfather and his dances.
