@channel4squares aww dude...if there is any chance you could post up the opening title? if i remember it was some pretty cool graphics showing the earth and an eclipse. be real greatful if you could.
My friend and I had planned to drive to Land's End from Nottingham but she'd been drinking and we argued and so drove home after we'd gone about 4 miles. :))
I'd known about the eclipse happening since the early 80s so always wanted to be there for it. Thankfully, for me, it was cloudy so didn't miss it. I'll just have to travel further afield next time. :)
I was at home in England when the Eclipse took place. I was 19. I taped it down on tape and I have still got it in my bedroom but never watch it. I'm keeping it forever for memory sake!
I was in Edinburgh, at the festival. Our company was given the morning off (we cancelled 2 shows, I think) to observe the eclipse.
We were standing on the Monument, and although I think that there was some cloud cover, I can definitely remember making out the shape of the moon encroaching on the sun's outlines through my "viewing filter" (actually my t-shirt, worked great).

I've got this recorded on VHS somewhere. I remember Michael Buerk making an almighty cock-up right at the beginning of the programme, haha.
