Paiton was born with hypertelorism, a condition associated with multiple craniofacial anomalies, including abnormally-spaced eyes. Dr. Albert Woo, the chief of pediatric plastic surgery at St. Louis Children's Hospital, undertook the complicated task of correcting this rare deformity.

  • :') awwww she is too cute!!!! poor girl she's very brave to be going through this kind of stuff so young i know about what she's going through i've been going through craniofacial reconstruction surgeries for 5 years now (though my deformities are caused by radiation therapy i received when i had cancer back in 1992)

  • Paiton is my friend's cousin. I've only met Paiton once in my life at a softball game. My friend showed me this and it was really sad but happyat the same time!

  • God bless her...she is a brave little girl, and beautiful with or without surgery for hypertelorism.

  • Paiton, no matter what you are a lovely little girl; we all are unique and made in the image of God--and God doesn't make mistakes! Even so-called normal people often have imperfections but those make us stand out. you look great after surgery!!!
