@asaluci Absorbtion past this point is dictated by how fast the substance is removed from the aveoli by the blood.

The removal of the substance from the aveoli is relatively fast allowing the effects to be felt while still holding the breath so, conclusively, holding in the breath must allows for more absorb although the greatest absobtion occurs immediately. Also there will always be waste due to the 'dead space' of the lung where no aveloi are in contact with the breath.

@337camo After some research I have a mixed conclusion. Absorbtion by the aveoli in the lungs is dependant on the balance between the amount of substance in the breath and that in the aveoli.

The greatest absorbtion occurs at first contact with the breath because the aveoli have 0% wheras the breath holds 100% and so it balances to a 50/50 equilibrium.

@asaluci Hah yea i've done both of those. I think you just feel higher because you're holding your breath and getting light headed. Iam no scientist though, iam just guessing.Try smoking upside down, it'd probably do the same thing.
