Very interesting footage from Die Deutsche Wochenschau in 1944. Most aspects of World War II from the German point of view are covered. Most scenes are of genuine combat in the Soviet Union, Italy, the Atlantic and the Western Front. Rare footage of Waffen SS, Panzer troops and Panzer Grenadiers, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine and the common German people are filmed in these extraordinary propaganda films.

Die Deutsche Wochenschau (The German Newsreel) was the sole series of German newsreels from 1940 until the end of World War II. It was usually narrated by Harry Giese (1903-1991).

Part 1 is 1:12:00 in duration and is followed by 3 succeeding episodes.

Marvellous series Kingtiger. I particularly liked the worker's canteen, near the beginning. It reminded me of the VW Wolfsburg factory, which I saw on a school visit in 1971. Spotlessly clean, and so unlike our British "greasy spoon" equivalent.

Hitler should not have attacked Russia but tried to get more of an alliance / trade agreement.

Then pushed full into britain and france. Tell Russia we will convert and use them as a guinea pig to fight America.

Then when the usa was struggling with Hitler and Japan w/e. Have Russia invade America.

I think its a trip to contrast the little BF-109s that were far more advanced and reined supreme in the beginning early days, say in the Spanish Civil War, and then watch the same planes hopeless outnumbered like in this video, outgunned, and out performed a the end of the war. Of course, by that time, they had went through so many models and upgrades, but still, at hearts, its the same like BF-109 mass produceable race plane adapted into a fighter.
