I only like Roots or Twin Screw blower.........not Centrifugal.
Nice video though.

even with a s/c'er these cars are still slow, time for them to go on a diet! I was hoping to see some 11 second runs!!

wow great looking cars.but again as always from the 60's to today..mopar just can't put the numbers out a run of the mill mustang can, go to san antonio texas on any friday night and you'll see 50 or more late model mustang's sitting in line with the a/c on and stereo's blasting, driver probably playing a ps3, then get to the line, smoke off a low 10 pass and turn the a/c back on at the trap lights, sad the new mopars cost within a couple grand of a blown GT500.love'em but that ain't right

Beautiful Challenger!!! Love to ride in it. Great job!

Yeah that other challenger sucked !!! Hey before you throw that out I'll take it!!! They are both sweet.
When looking at these times, keep in mind that this car wasn't built to be the fastest drag car, it was built to be a production daily driver with better speed and handling over the stock SRT8 and has a warranty. You'll notice there are no slicks, it has full interior, A/C, etc. Also the elevation and heat in Las Vegas are factors.
Hot Rod tested this car and liked it. See the other videos.
We know how to build fast 1/4 cars, our Charger race car set a world record!

I have run the 1/4 mile in 12.7 secs (110 mph) and the 1/8 mile in 7.9 secs (85 mph) in my 2006 Charger Daytona that weights 4300 lbs. with 420 horses and 440 pounds of torque @ the wheels. I love this Challenger, but their numbers don't add up! With that kind of horse power they should have ran high 11s with street tires or low 11s with drag radials at about 120 mph.

Take the elevation into account, approx 2,000 feet. That slows everybody down.
