What the hell is with all this emo and scene shit in here? I'm tired of all this petty subcultural bullshit, including the elitist pricks who can't get their heads out of their asses and the annoying little scene and emo kids who can't step outside a Hot Topic for two seconds. Everyone grow up, stop caring about being gother than thou (or deathrockier than thou in this case) and focus more on the music and less on petty, useless drama.

@Lunatasma while a agree with your statement I must say I am far from being an elitist I listen to many forms of music and such (shit I even listen to lady gaga lol) but what I have a problem with is that people are confusing Goth and Punk with emo which is just a fashion trend and Goth and Punk is a lifestyle....I am always being labeled as Emo and it just irritates me! I guess that makes me seem like an elitist! aside from that I really could care less about the Emo "subculture"

@sirus108 I agree completely, and I wasn't implying that you or anyone here was elitist. Usually I try to be a bit kinder to emos and scenesters but they're all so agitating to the point where it's unbearable. Regardless, emos and scene kids are more often than not in it for the social status and not for the music. They're bored, white kids who try to be weird for shock value or second-rate rebellion against mommy and daddy. Goths, punks and deathrockers need to unite and slap the kids silly.

Also a bit of fashion. Fashion's not the most important thing of the subcultures, but spiked biker jackets and Demonia boots are better than skintight jeans and Hot Topic tees. But above all, music is the one thing that keeps us united and spooky.

@Lunatasma Hell yes I can not agree more!!! Its more raw and real, then looking like you walked out of your sisters closet crying. Oh and I cringe every time I walk past a Hot Topic....Its full of bright colors and Justin Bieber tees!!! I literally get sick to my stomach!!! Plus the few times ive been their everyone looks at me like im a freak!!! still havent bought anything their for at leat 3 years and that was a kick ass 2 disk Metropolis compilation cd for $3!!!

im a goth as well, and i find people's jujement on me irritating, i dont mind when people are surprised when they see me, but the fact that people think im mean or dangerous sometimes bothers me, im as human as anyone...
