Doesn't take advantage of a single DS feature!? If you had even played the game, you'd know that the stylus and touch screen are used with smooth efficiency.
Its not halo its just an adventure type game more closley related to the old dooms where its just simple walking shooting and exploring. I think its great oh and yes there are plenty of outside levels and you fight alot of aliens on the game that was just gameplay of the first hour or two
While I have to agree this game is a technical feat, I can't help to point out that the main focus on the development of the DS was an innovative interface that would allow for new types of gameplay.
A clichéd game mechanic like this that doesn't take advantage of a single DS feature shouldn't be taking anyone's attention.
It's a pure graphicswhore's game, and on the DS. Think about that for a minute.
Same goes for Dementium:TW and COD4.
Exception's Metroid due to having a plausible gameplay.
from what i've played, no. they're just fine and actually kinda fun. they do get fairly challenging, but nothing too bad. my only complaint is backing up and trying to get going again is a bit of a pain. for example, if you run into a wall, backing up and trying to start going again with a bunch of mines around waiting to kill you is a bit of a hassle. but that's about it. no offense, but your fellow player just sucks.
I've heard from a fellow player that the moon buggy driving sequences were unplayable and ultra frustrating (because of the time limit too), is that true ?
cant wait till the ward 2 comes out though.

How is controlling the crosshairs "taking advantage of the touchscreen", exactly?
Yes, the touchscreen is used; as input for the same pointing mechanism used by every other FPS out there.
It's like using a laptop's trackpad.
