Hello Realar,

I'm afraid not, as Fantasia World has been cancelled from the release. Initially, this was planned as a Diamond Edition, but Disney have dropped it from the line and it is now only a Special Edition 2-Disc (1 Blu Ray, 1 DVD). In affect, the original trailer is now very wrong.

@realar That is correct, however the most important with this release is the Lowry restoration which looks flawless. This includes the restored color timing, so many scenes will look very different to the 2000 DVD.

The extras are very light, however, which is a huge shame.

I received the Fantasia Blu-ray for Christmas. The restoration done for this new edition looks amazing! It's a little bit light on extras, but nevertheless it's still a great edition :)

I've been meaning to pick up the older DVD for some time, but it's always been the ridiculously high prices (£30-£70) I've seen on Ebay that put me off getting it. After seeing this clip of the newly remastered version in action, I'm all too happy to hold back until it gets released in November :D

This movie has meant a lot to me, I will never forget it. Fantasia 2000 I could care less, that kinda hurt me that they would ruin such a classic like fantasia 1 with a 2.

I remember walking into a store, I think it was disney store back in the day, but anyway I picked up some fruit snacks. They actually had fruit snacks back in the early 90's of fantasia. The fruit snacks were shaped like the flying horses. They had that white horse in the movie as a fruit snack, that I remember. They also had a blue one in the box and other colors, but I do remember the white one. To this day, I have never seen any on ebay.

I WILL BE GETTING THIS. I wish disney would release the unedited version of this movie for adults, as well as unedited Black Cauldron. CLASSIC movies deserve a classy treatment. AMAZING. Cant wait for this. This was a movie of my childhood. I had the 90's VHS tape. I was born in the late 80's so I had the pleasure of getting to experience/grow up with this in my life.
