Hey everyone! A week or so ago I got a private message from gimpyspetsnaz asking me to make a tutorial video, so I've recorded both hands separately playing slowly in separate videos. Playing a song you already know by heart slowly is actually very difficult because you have to think about everything instead of relying on muscle movement (I had to practically relearn the song!). Adding to the difficulty was filming myself while doing it - I had to make sure the camera had my whole hand in the screen at all times. I had to lean back uncomfortably far just to get the whole hand, so my posture was awful. I hope you guys appreciate my sacrifice hahaha

Really though, I hope it's not too hard to follow. The camera's shaky, and I made a few mistakes (it's so hard to watch your hand on a screen while you play), but I tried to correct them. Annotations are coming!

Let me know if you have any trouble with any specific part of the song and I can try to help. Enjoy!

  • thanks so much, my favourite zohar arrangement (except corridors of time!!) wish i would have found your tutorial sooner!

  • @Esc8TheF8te Haha I can play that one too! It's a brilliant arrangement. Have you seen verdegrand's expansion of it? His version has four clefs instead of three! It's nuts. I have to try to tackle that one sometime too, haha.

  • @Rael0505 WOW i just checked out verdegrand ive never seen him, that has to be the most amazing one i've ever seen, nice one for mentioning him!! xD Ive got your tutorials on my psp I'm still learning this haha

  • @Esc8TheF8te Yeah, he's amazing! Great guy too, he gave me some help with that difficult run in Corridors of Time. I don't like his shevat cover so much though, he plays it too fast! It takes a lot of skill to be able to play this arrangement that fast and still play it well, but zohar's arrangement just isn't meant to be played at the original song's tempo.

Anyway, glad this is still helping you! If you're stuck at any parts, let me know where and I'll see if I can help.

  • I've been waiting for this song's tutorial for years!

thank you very2 much! god bless you

  • @dittonara I'm really happy someone's finding this helpful haha :) please let me know if there are any parts of this that are difficult to follow or unclear.

    and have fun haha
