They were obviously trying to mimic the groove from Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" and Amerie's "One Thing", but they missed the most powerful musical parts of those songs - the choruses. The music in the choruses of those two songs, lift them out of the "mediocre" category, which is where this one sadly remains :-)
