  • I can say that giving me $1 million dollars to make the worlds largest icecream cake will pay back the government $1.80 for every $1 they give me too.. but when you look at every other icecream cake that doesnt pay back the government anything you realize that people can make numbers say anything.

  • roads are versitile. trains are not. you cant use the train to get to the hospital when they are having a stroke. people will not use the train to take their kids to soccer practice, firefighters wont put out fires with the train, police cant use the train to respond to emergencies. construction workers cant use the train to move treir equipment, landscapers cant take wheel barrels on the train. on and on. i thought liberals hated discrimination, TRAINS discriminate against certain occupations

  • @RealmOfLogic Pretty sure we're talking about the interstate here, not interurban roads.... The HSR plan was NEVER to ride a train from your house to a school or something, it was for travel from 1 city to another. Topping out at 110MPH, you would've been able to get to Chicago from St Paul in about 3 hours

  • @MaxInterjects oh so wrong.. the train will be going through several cities.. do some research dont just repeat.. the estimated travel time is 6 hours if not longer

  • @RealmOfLogic And where's your source for this?

  • Conservatives need to realize the if you want to reduced the size of Government in the transportation sector, the place to start is with the over 110,000 miles of roads (of which 1200 miles were added last year), not 110 miles of train train tracks that are proposed.

  • I was at the "Save The Train" rally in Madison and no train supporter was as air-headed as your rainbow panda. The train is not a scam - it is a useful addition to Wisconsin's transportation infrastructure that will provide $1.80 in economic benefits for every dollar spent building and operating it. Conservatives like to say we don't have the money to spend, but then what did Scott Walker want to do with the money? Spend it - on roads at a time when levels of driving are down!
