Aeneas is 7 months old. He came to us 3.5 months ago through the Westside German Shepherd Rescue, via a pound in Parker, Arizona. There were 10 in his litter. He's a great dog and could easily have been another statistic. Please spay and neuter; Please rescue/adopt, don't shop.

  • Slipsnob: We had to teach our little guy how to retrieve--it definitely didn't come naturally. We started by tossing a soft toy for him at home when he was really little, then a ball at the park, and we'd just go crazy praising him when he brought it back to us. Now he LOVES to chase the ball, and he's really good about bringing it back and dropping it at our feet! Next we need to teach him how to catch a frisbee in the air! :-D

  • Audiophile Tubes: Agree, they are really awesome dogs. So glad you rescued one!

  • What a great video. I have an almost identicle pup named Bailey. She absolutely loves the fetch the frisbee. She will not let go of it though unless she knows there is a treat for her. She is an excellent jumper and loves to catch the frisbee in the air.

  • I acquired a 9 month old Border Collie/ Blue Healer mix to fill the void I felt after my Border Collie disappeared... He is doing a pretty good job of doing it.. He is lacking some in comparison in some areas but has traits that are endearing that make up for what I miss... He is very much like the dog in the video in the way he moves and interacts with his people, calm, protective, loyal and doesn't wander off... It seems that the Blue Healer genes are dominant from what I can tell.

  • I just don't get it . . . my dog is a Border Collie/Blue Healer mix, and the one thing he's NEVER done is let go of something he's fetched! x_x He just grabs it and gnaws on it or runs away with it before I can even call him back.

  • Incredibly AWESOME dog! 2 great breeds! We just adopted a Border Collie mix recently from the pound.
