The 1st full pattern flown on my new airplane, a modified Kolesnikov KA-10, built from a Dixon kit. The fuselage profile is styled after Andre Yatsenko's "Classic II" which I first saw at the 2002 W/C in Sebnitz.
The engine run seems fairly good following some experimenting with props, compression and glow plugs. The maneuvers certainly aren't the best, but it's the first complete pattern and it feels pretty good.
Additional information: Prop - 13x6 Zinger thinned and trimmed to 12.5" dia. (pitch varies from 6 near the root to just under 5 near the tips); Plug - is a Merlin 2004; Head shims - One (~.007"); Fuel - is home brew (5% nitro, 20% oil, 1/2 castor, 1/2 Klotz Techniplate, methanol obtained from a race track source); Launch rpm - set to 8200; rpm during level flight was sound analyzed at 9600 in a fairly constant 4-stroke); Fuel tank - is a variation of Tony Eifflaender's "Freebird" chicken hopper tank; Fuel consumption - was approximately 110cc.

The video was taken with a Panasonic Lumix ZX3. I processed the video using iMovie on a MAC. The application allowed me to strip the sound track which I loaded into "Sound Studio", an audio processing program. With this I was able to measure the period of the sound waveform and thus the frequency.
