  • I think even a piece of wood would get some influences, if it could speak.

I think if I look at a piece of wood and find it beautiful, and I'm able to make sounds with it, I think it's influencing me.

So, the influence exists in the same way that air exists. To make us able to breathe.

  • The public is the same. But they just need to be well informed.

If the public is well informed, they correspond at the same level of that thing they're getting.

So, it's the vibration that comes and goes. Nobody gives without taking, and the same happens in the opposite way.

I find it very beautiful when the person says that that's my influence.

When the person says they are not getting it, I think they don't breathe. I think they're a piece of wood.

  • Gênio! Hermeto sem sombra de dúvidas é um dos maiores musicistas do mundo!

  • I'll try to...

How about the festival in Montreal, where you have just been to? How was the musical exchange?

Musically, it was wonderful. It was as important as playing at São Paulo's municipal theatre or anywhere. Playing in Santo André, being in a programme like I'm here today. I mean... my stage... our stage is our time. I can't never different.

What can be different is the vibration we give and we take. So I think there's no difference.

  • That would be great, meu portuguêse é ainda enferrujado.

Agreed - Hermeto really is amazing. Grande som!

  • Would anyone be kind enough to provide a translation in English?

    Pascoal is amazing.
