If we were to expand this bill to include the purchase of previously owned vehicles it would truly be a win, win, win as it helps the environment by encouraging more fuel-efficient vehicles, it would ease our dependence on foreign oil, and it would provide another incentive to help jump start the auto industry.

  • He has a good point.

Why are we financing the auto industry.

i guess less consumption is not an option. if cars dont sell drop the price or produce less thats called market economy.

It would make for for Cash for clunkers to be geared toward GM and Chrisler that we just bailed out.

  • cash for clunkers is not a good program because it costs billions of taxpayer dollars. its a government funded program

  • Why should they buy a used car? If you are poor you should ride the bus;.

  • Hey Cantor!!!!!!!! Blow it out your butt! You never complained of spending in Iraq so shut your mouth!

  • Abolish the Federal Reserve.

We need debt free money like the Lincoln's green back.

    Support HR833

  • Eric,

Show some real courage and step out from your safe place you hide in and sign-on to HR1207 to audit the FED.

ACT like your really a Republican and or a representative who really cares about We The People

  • Our law makers in this country should be aware that car dealerships are a huge problem and a huge hurdle for consumers. Even people will good credit ratings, home owners, employed with college educations get treated like dirt by this horribly competitive car sales industry.

Who wants to spend their hard earned money on a new car and get treated like yesterday's news?
