If you have a home security system with a convoluted series of buttons to push, you may want to consider upgrading to an iPhone app. ADT offers customers an iPhone app that allows you to arm and disarm the security system on your home, with your iPhone, whether you are home or away. Additional security is easy to add by using software on your Mac and a Slingbox to route video for remote viewing of even more locations.

Chris , how would an extended power outage ( more than hour ) impact your multi-layered security setup ? Do you employ battery powered web security cams or UPS backups for you webcam connected MAC's ?

@MrPandaGeek I have to admit this would be a flaw but... how does the person know where you live? And surely you lock your iPhone with a keycode? And I imagine you can set the App up to request a code to arm and disarm your house.

Chris is such a geeky nerd and can operate PCs, macs, iphones, run websites, but at 0:41 -"i can never remember like, the sequence of order and would never get it right" and "who uses these things anyway?" So you can't operate a simple keypad Chris? Yet you pay for a security system but never used it because your keypad illiterate and because who uses these things? More like you didn't want to use it because of no iphone app. Basically this is an apple advertisement. Buy apple, make chris Happy.
