About busting off the claw to the people who think that was mean. Golfeen11 is right. Crabs loose their claws to live another day and they grow new ones. Take the Stone Crab for instance (not my favorite btw). Fishermen often catch the Stone Crabs for their claws only and put the crab back in the ocean knowing that a new claw will grow back. Take it from someone from Maryland at the Chesapeake.
I don't know about anyone else but to me nothing tastes better than a blue crab.

ohhhh, tomorow im going crab hunting next to the skyway bridge for the first time, my dad says were going to be hunting it with a big stick some string and some chicken. Btw, were was this at?

At Phillip's Inlet...just west of Panama City Beach, FL. The water is a mix of fresh water and salt water so the blue crab love to run through this knee deep channel early in the morning to feed. If you're ever that way just stop there off Hwy 98. There's an inlet state park that you can park at and walk to the shore.Pretty cool stuff.
