@davidallenroth I think it was because he didn't die from an overdose is why he's not categorized with Morrison, Hendrix, et al. I remember hearing about his death before Morrison; growing up in FL and during that time they were popular.

people forget how young he was when he died. late 20's. you always here jim morrison, hendrix and so on. i believe its b/c he sang big boy music if you know what i mean. those songs seem to come from someone whos lived along time. to back up my story even early LS fans were all type of ages.
