Dinner with Joe's friends was fun. I didn't say much throughout the night, but that was because I didn't want to say the wrong thing. I want them to like me. I'm pretty sure Miley likes me, she kept talking to me all night. She was the one I talked to the most, Nick made me nervous. I guess its because he knows what I am.
We are at Joe's place now having some drinks. Joe and Nick are talking while Miley and I are on Joe's balcony. I'm more at ease while Miley, she's so sweet.
"So, how did Joe and you really meet? I have a feeling that it wasn't at a club."
I was taken back, "What makes you think that?"
"Well I've been dating Nick for a while and I know when he's hiding something. Same with Joe. And when I ask you guys that question, they both started acting weird. It's ok, you can tell me, I don't judge."
I kept thinking that if things went right with Joe, we would eventually have to tell Miley the truth, but now? She's a great girl but I don't know if she would approve of me anymore, "We first saw eachother at a club...a strip club."
"Girl, I've been to strip clubs too, don't be ashamed about it."
"No, you don't get it, I was working there. I'm a stripper."
She didn't say anything at first but she looked surprised. "Oh..."
"I noticed him and he noticed me and yea..." I don't want to tell her that I was paid to have sex with him and that that's how this all started, she would definitely hate me.
"Well I don't care if you strip or work for the mob, he's happy and that's what I want. I like you." she smiled at me and I felt a weight lifted off my chest. There was still some weight on it though, I only told her half the story.

The rest of the evening went on and I was still thinking about my conversation with Miley. If it was this hard with his friends, how will it be with his family, if we get that far. How is he going to explain me to people. This only added more to think about. I couldn't concentrate on the conversation going on between Joe and his friends.
Soon they said goodbye. Miley made me promise to go shopping with her next week, it was as if she forgot what I told her. When they left I wasn't feeling any better.
Joe noticed, "What's wrong? You've been acting funny the whole night."
"I told Miley that I'm a stripper."
"I know, she told me. But she's ok with it. What's the matter?"
He stepped closer to me and hugged me, "She took it well, but what about everyone else. I didn't even tell her about the paid sex. I'm ashamed of it. She'd probably think I'm a whore, which I am. Do you really want to deal with this in the future?"
"Shhh." he put his fingers to my lips, "Calm down. What's this about Demi? I know our story is different than most, but I'm not letting you go. Got it?"
I looked down, "Why? You could have someone better than me. Someone who went to college, someone who has an honest job, and someone you could take home to your parents. Someone that isn't like me..."
"That would be ideal wouldn't it? B who say love has to be so black and white?"
Love?




Hey y'all! So guess what? I started school this week :( Which means I'm probably going to be really busy. But don't worry, I'll make time to write. I hope you understand. :)
