It's not a bad job but I don't like the Wah Wah at the beginning of the guitar solo's and yo me there seems a lack of sharpness or bite on the guitars.

Personally, I think this is great, it's just fantastic that in this day of inane rubbish we can still see Andy Powell play.

I am a big fan of the early Ash. Ted Turner was the perfect compliment to Andy. However...Ben Granfelt is a helluva guitarist!!! I think that if he'd have been doing his thing in the 70's, with his talent, he'd have been one of the greats. Tasty guitar licks just don't have the mass appeal they once did...'tis a shame. Andy Powell is not Martin Turner on vocals but, for his age, he ain't bad! I'd much rather be hearing this with Andy singing than not at all!

What terrible weak voice Andy Powell has ... without Martin Turner it's just not Wisbone Ash.

Fair enough..thats what music is all about anyhow...personal preference.

Well, it's not a problem, it's personal preference, I was probably a bit too sharp with my comment (I am a huge fan of Muddy).
The first time I saw WA was with Muddy, so when I got a DVD with Ben playing, I wasn't too keen on him to start off with, but now I love the way he plays (actually, now he is one of my big guitar influences).
I can't wait to go to their 40th anniversary gig at the Shepards Bush Empire in London, they are going to be joined by some ex-members...including Ben.

I think that part of my problem is that after 30 some years or so that i re-discovered Wishbone Ash is i bought some of there dvd's and just got used to Ben's style. I saw the ASH here in Minnesota bout a year and a half ago and was sitting to the side of the stage about 6 feet from Muddy and it was ok. I know Andy said Muddy was trying to quit smoking so maybe he was off just a bit. My friends and wife loved the show. Andy wasn't too impressed with us Minnesotans but that's another story.

I disagree, I've seen Muddy play with Wishbone Ash quite a few times and he has always had energy, played fantastically and (in my opinion) is at least as good as Ben.
If you were at Ashcon 2006, you would have had a treat; Muddy, Ben and Andy were playing together for a couple of songs (King Will Come was one of them I think).
Ben is a great guitarist, but Muddy is just as good.
Does anyone think that Wishbone is lacking a little bit since Ben left and Muddy took over? I love this version but when Muddy plays it something is missing. Maybe its just me.

Yeah i totally agree- ben injected a new lease of life into the band..You can definitely see that powell and granfelt must of been great friends with no egos or competion between them.
Muddy is certainly not lacking in guitar skill but the spark just isn't there like it was with these two.
