Height: 5'6 (Oct.25, 2010)AFL tryout James was a Walter Payton award candidate/ back- to- back 1,000 yard rusher for his first two years in college before they switched their offense to the triple option which limited his carries per game from 25 to 5. By doing that he was able to focus more on blocking in order to help produce the # 1 offense in the nation for his last 2 years in college. His yards per carry stayed consistent, which lets you know he was the same 1,000 yard running back in a different offensive formation.




2005 -- Walter Payton award candidate... A brilliant first season in the Mustang backfield, breaking several school records ... after sitting out first game of 2005 campaign at Troy (coach's decision), rushed for 108 yards on 20 carries in first career collegiate start against Sacramento State, scoring one touchdown on a 24-yard run ... went on to break all-time school records for rushing yards (1,578) and rushing TDs (16) in a season ... Louis Jackson (1,424 yards) and Gary Davis (15 TDs) held the old marks ... scored school-record five TDs rushing against Idaho State and tied school mark for points scored in a season (96) ... finished with eight 100-yard games rushing, including pair of 200-yard performances againstEastern Washington (221 yards on just 19 carries) and Idaho State (248 yards on 27 carries) ... 248-yard game is fifth best at Cal Poly while 221-yard performance is No. 11 ... 15th Mustang to rush for over 200 yards in a game ... also rushed for 166 yards against North Dakota State, 157 against Montana State, 144 at Montana, 132 against Southern Utah and 188 in playoff game at Montana ... first Mustang in seven years to rush for over 200 yards in a game ... 12th Mustang to break the 1,000-yard mark in single-season rushing ... averaged 7.1 yards per carry en route Great West Football Conference Freshman of the Year and Co-Offensive Player of the Year honors ... started 11 games... finished fourth in the nation in rushing (143.45 yards per game) and 14th in scoring (8.73 points per game) ... 2006 -- Became the first Mustang running back to garner back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons as he netted 1,009 yards on 196 carries and scored seven touchdowns ... longest run was 74 yards for a touchdown against South Dakota State ... his 2,587 career yards is No. 4 all-time at Cal Poly ... fourth Mustang to crack the 1,000-yard mark twice ... best game as a sophomore was his 168 yards and two scores against South Dakota State ... seven 100-yard games, raising his career total to 15 ... 23 career rushing touchdowns is tied for No. 5 ... caught one pass against San Diego State ... returned nine kickoffs 161 yards against North Dakota State and one more for 34 yards against Savannah State ... earned first-team All-Great West Football Conference honors for second straight year.

2007 -- with the change of offense to the triple option which limited Nobles carries per game from 25 to 5, Noble Started nine of the 11 games, ... rushed for 464 yards and three touchdowns... best game was against UC Davis when he rushed for 94 yards and a pair of scores... for the season caught four passes for 49 yards after catching two passes in first two seasons at Cal Poly... averaged 5.5 yards per carry... enters final season with 3,051 career rushing yards, No. 4 all-time at Cal Poly... needs 1,155 yards to break school career rushing mark... 26 career rushing touchdowns is No. 5. All-time and six shy of the school record... competed in the 4x100, and the 100 yards dash while competing in track and field.

2008 -- Preseason All-American candidate... With the teams' change to the triple option offense Noble stayed consistent with yards per carry throughout his college career..ends college career with 3,684 rushing yards total... 35 career touchdowns and sixteen 100 yards games rushing, with two for over 200 yards in a game...

High School -- Was named California's leading rusher...Under head coach Dan Smith at Barstow High, Noble rushed for 2,616 yards and 28 touchdowns in his senior season
