I have built a "off the Grid" home generator using a 1950's Coventry Victor one cylinder diesel generator, I can run this on diesel or a diesel and used cooking oil mixture and have it attached to a large battery via a 40amp car alternator which supplies my garden lighting and via an inverter for 600 watts of home power and lighting. The waste heat is used to keep my garage warm as well. All parts recycled from EBay or kind donations of "junk"

  • Thank you so much RON! You have shared awesome video with us. Your videos I have seen o far found always informative. Keep on sharing such a wonderful information in future. I learn a lot of very valuable information from you. There are many things that you can do at home that can improve your energy efficiency. Wind power and solar power is good option for it.

  • this is brilliant.... I would like to learn more, you could get seriously funded or sell your idea to diesel generator manufacturers.

  • Looks like a lister engine.

  • try it but with wind energy,

which is so quiet and clean,

    are you happy there
