There is mild pain with SmartLipo but you will be prescribed mild pain management medication. In some cases patients are to treat the pain by just taking over the counter pain medications like Advil. The pain will only last for the first days and will most likely go away completely on the first week after the Smartlipo procedure.

SmartLipo does not affect the intestine at all nor does liposuction. The procedure that alters the intestine is called bariatric surgery.
