I think assertive scripting is a good idea. Too many collectors have weak techiques in terms of relating to the client. I am a top activator and service agent where I work (my scores are well above 80% and when I did collections my scores were about the same) and I find assertive (but not aggressive) talk makes people want to do what you want them to do (be it paying their bills, reactivating a service, etc).
