While I like Obama, blaming the accident on McCain is obviously contrary to the facts. A Zuni rocket got zapped by electricity by accident and shot into the airplane next to McCain's. McCain was almost a sitting duck in his airplane. He jumped out of his plane and ran, as any guy with half a brain would, and so did some guy named White, whose plane was hit. White was killed in the explosion resulting from the rocket crash, and McCain got lucky.

Mc Cain did not cause this accident.He was damn lucky to get out of there alive!!!It was caused by a number of things.The root causes were the armanent pins not inserted into the Go jets and electromagnetic interference generated by the carrier's radars and the escort destroyer's radars.The pins were left out to save time on man-up and launch.If those pins were in place as per the ordnance load manuals in 1967,this would not have taken place.
