I a.m. the first of his seven grandchildren, and I proudly wear the first name of my maternal grandfather Warren Virgil Weber. Grandpa came from very humble roots in Athens County Ohio. He was a farmer, Timberlman coalminer, ironworker. He was not only my grandfather but my mentor. Most of what I have become can be directly traced to him. I learned perseverance and patience from him. Most of my political views today came from his direct experience of sweat and hard work during the Great Depression. Whenever I needed a good friend to talk to, grandpa was always there. He was born in 1904 and wore out in 1994. In the 90 years of his life even up to the very month he passed away, he was always doing something productive. Even when he retired in 1969 as a Molder making diesel engine blocks at Cooper Bessemer.
He continued farming, and bought a van and started a taxi service for the Amish in the liicking County Ohio area.
Everyone would be very proud to have a grandfather like him
