Gerald Wiegert likes to study his design's in a veriaty of lighting. This footage prompted the first round of revisions to the body style. Even after the L A Auto Show, minor refinments continue. Yes that is a chain in front of the car pulling it down the street.

Does the R8 offer supercar performance at sportscar pricing? Hell no but the Z06 does and the ZR1 is in hypercar terrorty.

Does the R8 offer 650hp for less than 100k? no but the Viper does, in fact the Viper ACR holds a damn good record at the N-ring and for less than a 100k thats a better package than what most cars have to offer in that range.

Hell ill go as far to say even the Nissan GTR offers a better package than the R8 does. It offers great performance at a low price. R8 doesn't.

It's still hard to get away from the "Camaro front end with Supra headlights" appearance, but the car as a whole is a wonderful evolution from the W8. Now to actually see it running under it's own power.
