  • keep practicing, u will get it. at the time we were a small army unit with only one radio operator, me. shortly afterword we got 6 more operators after we went to battalion size.the rifle was there because i was also msg center and i was required to have a weapon, even though it wasnt needed.u should have seen my outdated crypto machine, i think it was WW1 stuff it was mechanicly operated.later we got the good stuff with new radios.

  • Enjoyed watching your video Eeogg,

You have 2 nice keys there.I am also a fan of the J38.I think you may have watched my video of it?1

Nice to get a bit of info about your picture too.My uncle was a wireless op in the RAF and was stationed at a place called Abingdon England in the last days of the war.

He received a coded message whilst at his station and was latter told that he was the op who received the message the war had ended!!

  • Enjoyed your video so much.I also have both keys you show there the J-38 by Lionel and also the Baumuster T1.

Too bad I got my Lionel missing the Gap screw with lock nut. At present looking for a replacement of the screw with lock nut so I can have it complete. Learning CW,use the j-38 with a smaller diameter screw with 2 nuts.Works but will keep looking. The Baumuster is my favorite. It is quiet and very solid.Good to hear the history of your picture.I see an M1 carbine on the window.73 de YS1RS
