MAPLE LEAF RAG - Bryan Wright

My arrangement of Scott Joplin's "Maple Leaf Rag." Recorded in Chicago, IL, March 13, 2009 (at 8:30 AM--hence the groggy look in my face!). Thanks to my friend Adam Dubin for the use of his piano and for taping this.

I wish it were mine. Alas, this was taped at a friend's house on his Bösendorfer upright. A VERY nice piano indeed!

Excellent ! On question though - I always thought this was written in A flat. At least thats the one I learned. Yours sounded like it was in F. Did you rearrange or are there versions in this one ?

Thanks -- I'm glad you enjoyed it. You're right, the original published version is in A-flat, but when rearranging it, I decided to transpose it to F. It gives it a different "color," I think.
