  • @Omgdonut297 maybe i shouldve phrased it better its just like most other things that are around for making money its just like big business mass producing something just to make money the only thing is you cant mass produce music only garbage mtv has a monopoly on it in the sense of them pretty much controlling culture people are too stupid to see and so they blindly buy whatever theyre told to

  • @l3054 First of all, punctuate your sentences. Secondly, yes there are some hack jobs out there, but claiming that "the music industry" is a monopoly is nonsense. Different record labels compete for contracts with artists whom they think will allow them to turn a profit. If anyone is to blame, blame the consumer for demanding shitty hip-hop, pop, and nickleback-esq rock. But back to the original point of this argument, wanting to earn money doesn't ruin music, stupid consumers does.

  • @Omgdonut297 thats obvious but you have to look at the way the music industry is one big monopoly that produces the same repetitive crap over and over with different people all in it just to make money obviously it used to not be all but now a good 90 to 95 percent of most music is like that and its cause people who dont have any talent want to get paid like i said it lowers the standard

  • @l3054 If it is something that an artists enjoys and they want to make money off of it, there is nothing wrong with that. "Selling out" doesn't make someone a bad musician, writing shitty music makes someone a bad musician. Just think about that for a minute.

  • @Omgdonut297 if you make money for it thats great but it should never be a reason for making shitty music and losing your integrity

  • @Omgdonut297 i cant beleive you called someone else naive music shouldnt be a job its art it is one of the best possible means to convey pretty much any emotion or message to reduce it to something forced and repetitive just to make money is something thats been happening alot more for the past decade and the standard has suffered greatly for it

  • @l3054 No one is selling out, nothing in life is free. It's a necessary evil. You try doing a job and not take money from it, let me know how that works out for you.

  • @Omgdonut297 if someone has to sell out to keep making what they call music then maybe they should get a different job instead of lowering the standard of music thats why its all so crappy and repetitive nowadays

  • @moonkin14 for money...derp...but i agree with you. passion and a need to express ones thoughts and emotions. it drives me. it drives you. it drives us.

  • I knew this series was something special, but when the ball broke through the lower atmosphere and the sky exploded into beautiful color just as the song broke into chorus, I realized just how amazing it is.
