This is a sequence of three plays in the 2004 Fiesta Bowl against Kansas State.
First, BJ Sander pins the Wildcats within their own 5 on an Ozzie punt. Never underestimate the power of a punter as an offensive weapon, and BJ Sander was definitely that. Give love to the punters, yo.
Second, the Buckeyes go all out blitz and get rewarded on a miscommunication, resulting in a Chris Gamble pick.
Third, and on the next play, Jenkins blows by coverage to pick up the easy touchdown. With the Nugent extra point, the score is 21-0 Buckeyes.
All 3 of the key players in the clip are NFL players, btw.

It didn't help that all the speculation/hype was for an OSU/Miami rematch. Instead we get OSU/K-State and Miami playing FSU, Part 971.

A memorable moment for Chris Gamble. Chris, as a member of the Panther Nation, I just want to wish you luck tomorrow as you go to San Diego to face the Chargers.

Nice win...but watching that game felt a bit disappointing...being in the Fiesta Bowl again but not for another National Championship. They were capable of going back and doing it again, but dumb ass losses to Wisconsin and Michigan cost them.

Even if K-State would have finished unbeaten that year they still shouln't have gone to national championship game instead of Ohio St. In 98 Buckeyes blew out 2 ranked nonconference opponents- #10 W. Virginia and #24 Missouri, and blew out rest of teams except for 4 point loss to Michigan St. team that was ranked in top 10 in preseason. K-State beat their easy nonconference schedule and Nebraska and rest of Big 12 sucked that year. Bill Snyder deserves some credit but beat few top non Big12teams

Kansas St. is one of the most overrated teams of all time. Buckeye teams of last 20 years have a tendenct to ease up in games where they have big leads and it happenned again in this game. Buckeyes twice had 21 point lead and were never in danger. If K-State team of 98 would have gone to national championship game it would have been a joke. K-State beat their usual cupcakes and struggled against Missouri team Buckeyes destroyed that year. Even if K-State would have been unbeaten didn't deserve

If Ell would have kept his pecker in his pants, KSU would have started the game much better. It would have been much closer all the way thru. It ended up being a close game anyway... good thing the Cats spotted the Buckeyes a few.
