The Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Virginia, as I have found most Virginia politicians are, is a very sober, thoughtful, and conservative thinker. So when Ken Cuccinelli says Obamacare not only infringes on both personal and states rights but endangers the very freedom of Americans on so many other issues, you better take note.
totally ignornant pig of a scumbag! That's KC!

@whoo689 It appears to me that at least part of this opposition by certain AGs is blind partisanship because Obama's a Democrat, Congress is Democratic, and they oppose the bill ideologically. If they were truly consistent about federalism, they'd be fighting EVERYTHING the feds do to the states tooth and nail. But why now? Why not a lot earlier?

@whoo689 Fight the DOE being shoved down the throats of states rather than them having full authority to make their OWN education policies. Or the minimum wage being forced to increase on states that may not like it and know how harmful it is to lower-skilled workers.

Where were the Attorney Generals with spines during Clinton or LBJ? FDR? They fucked up federalism pretty well. Even if they do win the case, it'll be a victory for federalism, but it'll be a very minor one. If you wanna fight for federalism, fight against the welfare state being crammed down the states' throats without them being able to say "Maybe we don't wanna distribute these benefits and wanna make our OWN decisions on poverty".
