Okay, i know it's extremely long, but it was a video that needed doing.
I've had Jade since October '07 and it's been an absolute mad journey!
So this is it :)

I basically bought Jade to showjump, and was planning to affiliate as soon as i got her, bought her as a schoolmistress sort of horse as i was coming off my ponies.
In the video you'll see she jumps perfectly for me while I was trying her out, but when i got home..
Well it all went wrong.. as you can tell
She was an absolute COW, she had no intention of trying for me, she had no intention of jumping. Tbh my riding was rather appauling too.
I bought her record, and she had previously jumped 1.10ms with a old old owner.. so of course i was quite alarmed at why the horse was not doing it's job.

I used to hate her, absolutely hate her.. my confidence dropped, from sky high to a nervous wreck
She was so much to handle, she had a few issues with her stable and i got a lot of horrible things said about her and me e.e
"you'll never change her, your not good enough"
"She is rubbish, sell her for dog meat"
"She is completely ruined, why would you even want her?"
"A 12 y/o jumping 90cm, with no chance of going higher, isn't worth 3k"
"People telling her she's doing well is giving her false hope"

It was embarrassing not being able to get this horse around 2'3 course, humilating.
I got told it was all my fault on many ocassions.

But one day something clicked, i took her for a bit of training at a arena near me, and we had no stops.. i finally saw what my horse could do, and i was in no way, whatsoever, giving up.
The harsh words made me stronger, and determind.
My true friends helped me through everything.

I started getting further around courses, i jumped bigger, i pushed her.. we jumped 1.35m once, i felt confident, i felt like i knew her inside out.. and then i got our first double clear.. The most amazing feeling in the world. Something that'll alway stick in my mind. I did my first bsja show on her, i went xc training and believe it or not she was such a bold lion! I started riding properlly, i improved so much, she went so much nicer

I fell in love with this horse, she is truly my perfect horse in every shape and form. I fit her like a glove, she fits me like a glove. She makes me laugh everyday.. i cannot emphasize how important this mare is to me and how glad i am to have bought this huge mistake or so i thought at the beggining.

She's given me oppurunties i could of only dreamt of, i've found determination inside that i never thought i had..
She made my life better, she gave me something to get out of bed for, she gave me a best friend and she gave me a friend/companion for life.

Galloping what course exactly? There is many clips of courses in there lol.. She's hardly galloping, i wouldn't let her gallop around a course.. she's just a fast going mare, thanks.

She had started stopping before she came to me, she wouldn't go around a course. She was very sour, and she would not get over a pole by the time she reached me... i gave her 2 months off to cool her head, and then starting training again, with no pressure.. alot of praise.. and no beating/abuse atall..

(continued) i took it really slow with her, back down to 2'/2'3 classes and just concentrating on getting her around. It finally payed off, we clicked so well, i got my double clear, i get around with just faults :) there's much more to come from this mare i promise you! Cricklands, of course! Well done for sticking with her! i have a mare who iv almost sold because she was so badly behaved. but i worked with her. and shes amazing now. i think it makes bonds stronger and you can say 'iv changed that horses life for the better!' Well done!! =D
